100-летний ветеран Второй мировой войны американец Том Райс снова прыгнул с парашютом. Бывший десантник прыгнул в свой день рождения, 26 августа, с высоты 2300 метров. Вскоре тандем из двух парашютистов успешно приземляется под овации собравшихся на суше людей.
Это не первый прыжок немолодого героя войны, руководившего в 1944 году десантной боевой единицей
В 2018-ом году Райс совершил прыжок в память совместной боевой операции союзников-антигитлеровцев «Нормандия-Неман» во Франции в долине Луары. Тогда Райс сказал, что, помимо акта памяти, хотел еще раз показать, «на что способно его поколение». Вот этот прыжок, который горячо приветствовали французы.
