На Мексику одновременно обрушились землетрясение и наводнение. 17 пациентов утонули в больнице
В центральной части Мексики в штате Идальго в городе Тула 8 сентября в затопленной больнице погибли 17 пациентов.
После того, как из-за прошедших накануне сильных ливней из берегов вышла река Тула, на город обрушились потоки воды. Среди прочего произошло отключение системы подачи кислорода. 17 пациентов скончались, остальных эвакуируют.
В городе затоплены около 2 тысяч домов, к ликвидации последствий потопа привлечены военнослужащих и бойцы Нацгвардии.
Трагедия в Туле произошла на фоне обрушившегося на Мексику мощного землетрясения магнитудой 7,1 балла. Эпицентр землетрясения находится на юго-западе Мексики в 17 километрах к северо-востоку от тихоокеанского курорта Акапулько, он залегает на глубине около 10 км.
Толчки ощущались на расстоянии более 300 км затронули, помимо столицы — Мехико, города Морелос, Герреро и Оахака.
В Мехико землетрясение чувствовалось почти минуту. В ряде городов исчезло электричество. Сейчас экстренные службы занимаются восстановлением энергоснабжения.
