На Филиппинах 25 ноября в возрасте 124 лет умерла Франциска Сусано, последний живой человек, родившийся в XIX веке.
Сусано ушла из жизни в своем доме в Кабанкалане в провинции Западный Негрос. Причина смерти еще не установлена, но у Сусано не было никаких симптомов COVID-19.
Еще в сентябре ее навещали сотрудники Книги рекордов Гиннесса, объявившие ей, что она стала главным долгожителем человечества. Прежде рекорд принадлежал француженке Жанне Кальман, умершей в 1997 году в возрасте 122 лет.
Сусано родилась 11 сентября 1897 года, когда Филиппинами еще управляла Испания, а на троне Великобритании находилась королева Виктория. У женщины 14 детей. Ее старшей дочери в этом году исполнился 101 год.
Теперь самая пожилая женщина на планете — 118-летняя японка Кане Танака.
