Четверо американских заключенных, прежде отбывавших срок в тюрьме округа Оклахома, подали иск на надзирателей.
Они обвиняют тюремщиков в пытке детской песенкой «Baby Shark» на повторе, когда они часами стояли или лежали в наручниках в пустой комнате.
Адвокаты истцов утверждают, что заключенные не представляли угрозы для офицеров или кого-либо еще, подчинялись и не сопротивлялись никакому законному приказу, но все равно подвергались пыткам песенкой, которую надзиратели включали на большой громкости.
Отмечается, что это повторялось в течение двух-трех часов, песня эхом носилась по коридорам, заключенные стояли в наручниках, прикрепленных к стене.
Пострадавшие подали иск против шерифа округа Оклахома, окружных комиссаров, главы тюрьмы и двух бывших офицеров.
Окружной прокурор Дэвид Пратер признает, что использование песни про «малыша акулы» было жестоким и бесчеловечным, так как создавало «чрезмерное эмоциональное напряжение для задержанных, которые, скорее всего, уже и так страдали».
