Скандал разразился в Индии в штате Уттар-Прадеш в городе Биджнор. Власти заказали подрядчикам новое дорожное покрытий и выделили из муниципальной казны более миллиона рупий.
В день открытия отремонтированной дороги Член Законодательного собрания индийского Cучи Чаудхари по традиции разбила о покрытие кокос. И что же, кокос разбивается? Да. Но и дорога разбивается. Прежде, чем у присутствующих на церемонии прошел, муж чиновницы езе раз ударил по новому покрытию, но уже лопатой. И оно, конечно же, стало крошиться на мелкие куски.
Чиновница обвинила подрядчика в мошенничестве и воровстве государственных денег. Местная полиция во главе с офицером Умешем Кумара начала расследование.
