На востоке Бразилии на озере Фурнаш рядом с городом Капитолиу в штате Минас-Жерайс 8 января кусок отвесной скалы откололся из-за трещины и упал на прогулочные лодки и катера. Очевидец трагедии выложил видео, где видно, как минимум две лодки с людьми уходят под воду.
Спасатели подняли тела 5 человек, еще 20 числятся пропавшими без вести. Их поиски ведёт местная пожарная служба Бразилии.
Глава местной пожарной службы Эдгард Эстево уверяет, что спасатели делают все возможное для поиска тел. Задействованы вертолеты для тщательного осмотра территории.
Местные власти сообщают, что обрушение скалы могло произойти из-за частых ливней, которые вызвали эрозию горных пород.
Капитолиу — известное бразильское туристическое место с красивой природой и большим количеством живописных каньонов.
