Ученые из Китая и США разработали мягкий нейропротез руки с пальцами, приводить в движение которые будет пневматическая система.
Сегодня в арсенале хирургов уже нейропротезы, возвращающие чувствительность, но у них два недостатка — масса (более 400 г) и стоимость (более 10 тысяч долларов). Разработка исследователей из Массачусетского технологического университета и Шанхайского университета Цзяо Тун позволит выпускать протезы, которые будут легче и доступнее, пишет Лента.ру со ссылкой на журнале Nature Biomedical Engineering.
В качестве материала протеза использован эластомер EcoFlex. Пластиковая ладонь печатается на 3D-принтере, к ней «прилагаются» пальцы, которые условно можно назвать надувными.
Сгибаются пальцы за счет пневматической системы, руководимой электромиографическими датчиками. Датчики крепятся к культе. Их задача — регистрировать электрическую активность двигательных нейронов, передавая протезу команды от мозга.
Дешифровкой сигналом занимается блок управления, он же рассчитывает давление для нужной силы захвата.
Протез с шестью степенями свободы отличается и высокой тактильностью обратной связи: человек получает возможность осязать.
Протез весит 292 грамма, его предполагаемая стоимость — 500 долларов. Разработчики уже заявились на патент, но серийное производство изделия пока в отдаленной перспективе.
