Британские ученые из Медицинской школы Ноттингемского университета провели опрос среди пациентов, которые перенесли коронавирусную инфекцию в начале пандемии. И выяснили, что большинство из заболевших испытывали тяжелый стресс.
В ходе исследования медики наблюдали и опрашивали 1100 взрослых пациентов. Они заболели коронавирусом в 2020 году. Большая часть из них в это время нуждалась в психологической помощи либо получала ее.
Эксперты уверяют, что депрессия и страх не только сопровождают жизнь в пандемии, но и становятся факторами, повышающими риск заражения SARS-CoV-2. Люди, переживающие большой психологический стресс, имеют больше симптомов и переносят болезнь тяжелее.
Исследование, опубликованное в конце 2021 года в Новозеландском медицинском журнале, показало, что люди с психическими проблемами и с зависимостями были чаще подвержены заражению коронавирусом и вдвое чаще умирали от него.
Одновременно исследование продемонстрировало, что среди тех, кто больше всего беспокоился о возможности заболеть коронавирусной инфекции, было меньше больных. Вероятно, из-за принятия более серьезных профилактических мер.
