Текст — антивоенный. Юноша сообщает, что старое пальто принадлежало его дедушке, который ребенком во время Второй Мировой войны чудом не умер от голода.
Редактор англоязычной «Медузы» американец Кевин Ротрок перевел надпись на английский язык и распространил фотографию в иностранных СМИ.
