Московская сеть ресторанов «Тануки», работающая в во всех районах российской столицы и в Хамовниках, одела своих курьеров, доставляющих еду, в форму героев корейского сериала «Игра в кальмара».
«Просто было нелогично не сделать с точки зрения маркетинга что-то с этой историей. Потому что, когда сериал, когда инфоповод на хайпе и про него все говорят, конечно же, компании, которые успевают придумать что-то интересное в рамках этой истории, они получают какую-то эффективность с точки зрения охвата, вирусности», — говорит маркетинговый директор компании Станислав Колосков.
Он уверяет, что курьеры довольны новой экипировкой, — удобно, тепло и не мокро.

На фоне популярности сериала продажи белых слипонов Vans возросли на 7800%. С момента выхода сериала число поисковых запросов «белые слипоны», в которых ходят игроки, возросло на 97%, «малиновые комбинезоны охранников» — на 67%.
Между тем звучат идеи запретить сериал в России
Телеграф рассказывал о том, что 26% опрошенных россиян высказались за запрет показа корейского сериала. Не все они его смотрели.
