На Аляске начались выборы самого упитанного медведя. Вы тоже можете проголосовать
В США Национальный парк Катмай на Аляске объявил о начале традиционной «Недели Толстого Медведя».
Пользователи Сети будут выбирать самого пухлого хищника с помощью интернет-голосования на официальном сайте конкурса.
Голосование проходит с 29 сентября по 5 октября. Это самый справедливый конкурс красоты в мире — к участию «допущены» все медведи, формально «прописанные» в заповеднике. Их около 150.
В конкурсе участвуют 435 Holly и 747 — медведи, выигравшие конкурс в 2019 и 2020 году.
Идея «Недели Толстого Медведя» — привлечь внимание к заповеднику и первозданной природе Аляски, а заодно «похвалить» мишек, потому что все лето они трудились — ели.
Летнее чревоугодие мишек приводит к их осеннему сферическому телосложению. В прошедшие сытные месяцы бурые медведи могли набирать до 1,8 кг в день, копя к зиме жиры, чтобы пережить зимнюю спячку.
А на Сахалине медведи голодают. И это опасно для человека, отнявшего их рыбу
Телеграф рассказывал о бедственном положении сахалинских медведей, тщетно толпящихся у рек в ожидании своей еды — горбуши. Местные власти в разы увеличили нормы отлова, ничего не оставив животным.
