В Гонконге аукционный дом Bonhams представил новый лот — шляпу Наполеона Бонапарта, на изнаночной стороне которой сохранились два волоска императора.
Сначала находка будет демонстрироваться в Гонконге, затем ее перевезут в Париж, а 27 октября состоятся торги, — они пройдут в Лондоне.
ДНК-доказательства того, что шляпа действительно принадлежала Наполеону Бонапарту, сообщает Reuters, неоспоримы. Дело не в том, что подобные шляпы встречаются на изображениях Наполеона наиболее часто.
Предыдущий владелец шляпы, купивший ее прежде на небольшом немецком аукционе, не знал о том, что головной убор принадлежал императору, — просто купил интересную двуколку. Но далее он начал ее внимательно изучать и, проанализировав надписи на артефакте, обратился к специалистам.
Те провели электронную микроскопию и пришли к выводу — два из пяти волосков, оставшихся на шляпе, имеют маркер Наполеона.
По словам директора аукционного дома Коттла, история этой шляпы отличается от других наполеоновских двуколок. Похожие изделия прежде предлагались на рынке знатными семьями, связанными с императором, — либо потомками солдат, подобравших их на поле битвы.
Начальная цена артефакта — от 100 000 фунтов ($138 550) до 150 000 фунтов. Другие наполеоновские двуколки продавались примерно по 2,5 миллиона долларов.
