На Курилах ожил вулкан Эбеко. Как получилось, что извержение снимали туристы?
На российских Курилах 25 августа снова ожил вулкан Эбеко. После мощного выброса столба пепла на гору, засыпанную булыжниками и покрытую воронками, съехались ученые и туристы.
Накануне в Северо-Курильск в 7 километрах от Эбеко приехала группа ученых из Камчатского института вулканологии и сейсмологии. Специалисты поднялись на вершину, чтобы отобрать образцы для исследования, рискуя попасть в эпицентр очередного выброса пепла.
Официально в момент взрыва на вулкане не было туристов. Но в сети появились видео, свидетельствующие о том, что у его подножия и в окрестностях находились походники. Они не пострадали и после благополучно добрались до райцентра.
Вулкан Эбеко с грохотом выбросил столб пепла на высоту 3,7 км утром 25 августа. Очевидцы рассказывали, что мощный взрыв слышали в райцентре и даже «тряхануло дом».
В прошлый раз вулкан громко заявлял о себе в 2016 году.

Телеграф сообщал, что в Индонезии на острове Суматра 28 июля проснулся вулкан Синабунг. Мощнейший выброс пепла на высотку более 4 метров длился 12 минут 22 секунды. Некоторым туристам удалось снять, как вулкан генерирует горячие облака.
