Житель Канады Брайден Мортон, выходец из Британской Колумбии, в начале июня пережил шок, когда осознал, что его любимец и друг, шарпей Дарлу, украден.
Как рассказали на днях канадские медиа, хозяин мгновенно начал поиск собаки в социальных сетях и местных СМИ. Результат сказался скоро — публикациями Брайдена в сетях поделились более 34 тысяч человек, координаты владельца дошли до похитительницы, узнавшей, что Мортон пообещал в качестве вознаграждения 5 тысяч канадских долларов.
К моменту встречи с девушкой Мортону удалось узнать, что похищение Дарлы произошло прямо возле дома. Неизвестные схватили собаку, погрузили ее в пикап и скрылись.
Назначив Мортону встречу на парковке торгового центра, девушка привела собаку. Извинившись, она сказала, что не может назвать имен других похитителей, опасаясь их мести.
Брайден понял по внешнему виду девушки, что она — наркоманка: прежде он тоже был наркозависимым. И тогда хозяин пса принял решение — не пожаловавшись в полицию и не дав девушке денег, он оплатил ей лечение в реабилитационной клинике, в которой сам проходил в 2015 году аналогичный курс.
