NASA заявило, что Россия чуть не уничтожила МКС. Что произошло?
Россия провела испытания противоспутникового оружия, которые создали угрозу для космонавтов и астронавтов на Международной космической станции (МКС). Об этом заявил представитель Госдепартамента США Нед Прайс.
Испытания оружия прошли 15 ноября. Мишенью послужил один из российских спутников. В результате образовалось более полутора тысяч фрагментов космического мусора, которые можно отследить, и сотни тысяч более мелких объектов. Это создало угрозу интересам всех стран, заявил Прайс. Он назвал испытания «опасными и безответственными».
«Мы будем консультироваться с нашими союзниками и партнерами по всему миру, чтобы прояснить для Российской Федерации и других, что мы этого не потерпим», — говорит представитель Госдепартамента.
Утром же 15 ноября стало известно, что экипаж МКС укрылся в кораблях «Союз» и Crew Dragon из-за угрозы столкновения с космическим мусором.
Власти США уже высказывали обеспокоенность тем, что Россия испытывает космическое оружие, в апреле и декабре 2020 года. Тогда официальный представитель МИД России Мария Захарова называла эти заявления попыткой США оправдать размещение собственного вооружения в космосе.
