В Петербурге в отеле «Гельвеция» на улице Марата, где проходят еженедельные «Невзоровские среды», вечером 11 августа безымянный молодой мужчина дождался окончания лекции и автограф-сессии, а затем подошел к Невзорову и ударил его по лицу со словами «Хватит оскорблять православную веру».
Нападавшего мгновенно оттащила охрана, вскоре приехала Росгвардия.
«Прибывшие в 22.17 росгвардейцы установили, что на указанном объекте произошёл конфликт между участниками проходившего мероприятия, однако претензий они друг к другу не имеют, о чем был составлен соответствующий акт. Задержаний участников конфликта не производилось», — говорится в релизе пресс-службы Северо-Западного округа Росгвардии.
Арестовать петербуржца не позволил сам Александр Невзоров.
«Я, конечно, попросил его отпустить. Я отказался писать на него заявление, и по моей просьбе полиция его отпустила. Она была вынуждена, я настоял. Не имею к нему никаких претензий, никаких заявлений на него писать не стал. Ну, бывает, черт возьми. Дело житейское», — пояснил Невзоров.
Позже Невзоров добавил в инстаграме, что у него опасная профессия и он всегда ожидает чего-то подобного, но этот инцидент посчитал слишком незначительным, чтобы завершать его арестом.
«Похвалил» Александр Невзоров и выдержку набожного слушателя его лекции, терпеливо ожидающего момента для нападения.
