Броснан сыграл 89-летнего ветерана Второй мировой войны. Каждый день гримеры по два часа наносили ему состаривающий (и очень реалитичный) макияж, ведь самому актеру только 69 лет.
«Последний стрелок» — это история, основанная на реальных событиях. Пирс Броснан играет Арти Кроуфорда — пожилого ветерана войны, живущего в доме престарелых. По мере приближения 75-й годовщины высадки в Нормандии мужчина сбегает с объекта. Он планирует поехать во Францию, чтобы отдать дань памяти своим друзьям, погибшим во время Второй мировой войны, и столкнуться со своими трудными воспоминаниями.
Пирс Броснан — ирландский актер и продюсер.
