Погибли в рукопашной. Под Ростовом-на-Дону нашли останки советских и немецких солдат
В Аксайском районе Ростовской области во время земельных работ были найдены останки советских и немецких солдат Великой Отечественной войны, погибших, очевидно, в рукопашной схватке, о чем 25 июля сообщило Управление информационной политики регионального правительства.
В настоящее время на месте находки работает сводный отряд поисковых объединений Дона. Пока удалось выделить останки 15-и погибших, которые, очевидно, не были найдены местными жителями, хоронившими погибших во время затиший после боевых действий.
Заместитель губернатора Ростовской области Вадим Артемов отметил, что характер повреждений на найденных останках указывает на травмы, полученные в жестокой рукопашной схватке.
Время гибели солдат – осень 1941 года, когда ростовская оборонительная операция 5-16 ноября перешла в Ростовскую наступательную операцию 17 ноября-2 декабря. На первом этапе противостояли войска советского Южного фронта под командованием генерал-полковника Черевиченко и немецкая группа армий «Юг», которой командовал генерал-фельдмаршал Гердт фон Рундштедт. В состав группы входила 1-я танковая армия генерал-полковника Эвальда фон Клейста.
