Снегопад в Англии. Три человека погибли, а 60-ых просто завалило на 3 дня в пабе после концерта. Как они…. развлекались?
Сильнейший снегопад, принесенный на Британские острова штормом Арвен, завалил более чем метровым слоем снега все дороги в графстве Йоркшир. В том числе, подъезды к самому высокому пабу Англии.
Десятки британцев оказались заваленными снегом на 3 дня. Все они 26 ноября приехали на концерт местной трибьют-группы. По окончании концерта оказалось, что более чем 60 зрителей не могут покинуть паб.
Гостинице The Hill Inn пришлось разместить всех постояльцев — расчистить снег, заваливший даже окна старинного здания, было невозможно.
Дорожные службы первым делом расчищали более оживленные дороги. А этой, маловостребованной, пришлось ждать.
40 человек разместили непосредственно в гостинице, где они бронировали места. Для остальных разбили палаточный лагерь прямо в зале паба.
«Звучит не очень, но на самом деле это было просто замечательно, все были в очень хорошем настроении. Мы старались развлекать гостей: устраивали для них викторины, настольные игры, вечера караоке», — рассказывает владелица паба Никола Таунсенд.
Когда одному из посетителей стало плохо, за ним смог прилететь медицинский вертолет. И лишь к исходу третьего дня к пабу прокопали тоннель. Все гости сказали, что приключение им очень понравилось — еды и пива было достаточно, а атмосфера сложилась очень теплая и дружеская.
Между тем, снегопад принес стране огромные убытки. Три человека погибли.
