Ученые NASA в своем Инстаграме снова порадовали простых любителе астрономии.
Новое фото американского космического агентства показало впечатляющий вид с орбиты на вулкан Везувий.
«Здесь у нас есть несколько счастливых маленьких облаков и счастливый маленький вулкан. Гора Везувий в Италии прорывается сквозь облака, запечатленные спутником наблюдения за Землей Landsat 8. Единственный действующий вулкан на континентальной Европе, Везувий, считался древними римлянами священным для полубога Геркулеса, сына Юпитера», — напомнили астрономы в подписи к фото.
Из-за близости к густонаселенному Неаполю Везувий находится под пристальным наблюдением вулканологической обсерватории.
