В Афганистане в провинции Нангархар на востоке страны группировка талибов открыла огонь по свадебному торжеству.
На свадьбе играла музыка. Захватив власть в стране, Талибан ее запретил. Погибли 13 гостей, более десяти ранены.
Власти Талибан традиционно сообщили, что накажут напавших и арестовали нескольких из них.
Свадебная церемония была совместной — участвовали сразу четыре пары. Предварительно они запросили у местных лидеров Талибана разрешение на использование музыкальных записей во время праздника и пообещали, что музыка будет звучать только в зоне для женщин.
Но поздно вечером на свадьбу ворвались вооруженные люди и стали ломать музыкальное оборудование. Гости воспротивились этому и по ним открыли огонь.
Заместитель министра культуры и информации временного правительства Афганистана Забиулла Муджахид снова сказал, что речь шла, возможно, о «сведении личных счетов», а инцидент не отражает политики талибов.
В провинции Нангархар действуют и боевики ИГИЛ. Между ними и талибами периодически случаются конфликты.
