Герцогиня Кембриджская, более известная как принцесса Кейт Миддлтон, официально приняла на себя патронажи принца Гарри.
Она была объявлена новой покровительницей Футбольной лиги регби и Союза регби. Ранее эти статусы принадлежала герцогу Сассекскому.
«Эти новые патронажи, которые были даны герцогини Ее Величеством королевой, тесно связаны с давним пристрастием Ее Королевского Высочества к спорту и преимуществами, которые он может обеспечить на протяжении всей жизни, как в рамках нашего общества так и на индивидуальном уровне», — сказано в заявлении Кенсингтонского дворца.
Кейт Миддлтон — большая поклонница разных видов спорта. Она посещала матчи по регби в Великобритании, а также турнир шести наций в Париже в 2017 году. А ее младшая сестра Пиппа рассказывала однажды в интервью журналу Vanity Fair о том, что для их семьи регби всегда имело большое значение.
«Я очень рада стать покровительницей Футбольной лиги регби и Футбольного союза регби — двух замечательных организаций, стремящихся использовать силу, которую может иметь спорт, объединяя сообщества и помогая людям процветать. Я с нетерпением жду возможности работать с ними на всех уровнях игр и болеть за Англию», — написала в Instagram Кейт Миддлтон.
