Группа археологов, изучающих доисторические материальные артефакты на юге Армянского нагорья в местности Карахан-Тепе, нашли постройку возрастом в 11 тысяч лет, внутри которой — огромная каменная голова и множественные каменные фаллосы
Здание диаметром 23 м заглублен в землю на 5,5 м. Внутри любопытная скульптурная композиция — лицом ко входу обращена голова человека их камня, по бокам от нее столбы в форме фаллосов высотой составляет 1,6-1,7 м.
Ученые выдвинули гипотезу, что это ритуальное помещение древних людей. Возможно, здесь были некие церемониальные шествия. Возможно, даже жертвоприношения.
Но, что удивительнее всего, сами древние люди, жившие в эпоху неолита, и засыпали ритуальный зал землей. Причем очень аккуратно, так, чтобы не повредить скульптуры.
