В Дании готовятся приступить к воплощению масштабного проекта, который, по прогнозам экспертов, сделает страну лидером в ветроэнергетике.
Датское правительство одобрило строительство искусственного острова в Северном море. Остров, который, как планируется, будет готов к эксплуатации в 2033 году, будет занимать 120 тысяч квадратных метров, рассказывает Агентство Хороших Новостей.
Удаленный от материка на 80 метрах от суши, он будет представлять собой системы из 200 ветровых генераторов, обеспечивающих электричеством более 3 миллионов частных домов.
Этот проект станет самым дорогим в истории страны. Его стоимость составит 34 миллиарда долларов.
Сначала энергия будет направлена на обеспечение нужд Дании, затем, если расчеты оправдаются, — в соседние страны.
В 2050 году Дания намерена свести количество выбрасываемого парникового газа к нулю.
