В Египте нашли обломки военного корабля, выстроенного до нашей эры. Как он выглядел?
Международная археологическая миссия, исследуя дно в территорильных водах Египта, обнаружила обломки древнего военного корабля.
Предположительно, судно, обнаруженное близ современной Александрии, бороздило воды Нила в IV веке до нашей эры, иначе, в эпоху Птолемея.
Скорее всего, судно затонуло после обрушения части стены храма Амона во время землетрясения. Обломки храма накрыли корабль, чем и объясняется, по мнению генерального секретаря Высшего совета по вопросам древностей Египта Мустафа Вазири, его хорошая сохранность.
Длина корабля — более 25 метров. Гладкое дно позволяло ему развивать высокую скорость при передвижении по Нилу. Ходить судно, построенное в классическом древнеегипетском стиле, могло как под парусом, так и на веслах.
Несколькими днями ранее исследователи из Египта и Японии нашли около двух тысяч деревянных деталей лодки — прямо у подножия пирамиды Хеопса. Возможно, это погребальная ладья фараона.
