В Индии в штате Одиша 17-летний молодой муж вскоре после бракосочетания продал свою 26-летнюю супругу мужчине из соседнего Раджастхана. И получил за нее 180 тысяч рупий — это примерно 2400 долларов.
Молодой, как и планировал изначально, купил на вырученные деньги смартфон. А на оставшуюся сдачу — вкусной еды.
Акт купли-продажи молодой муж обставил, как ему казалось, правдоподобно. В августе молодая семья поехала на заработки в Раджастхан. Через несколько дней парень продал жену 55-летнему мужчине. И вернувшись в родную деревню — пожаловаться родне, что его бросила.
После того, как усомнившаяся в правдоподобности семья женщины настояла на проверке, полицейские проверили записи звонков с телефона молодого супруга. И выяснили — да, жена продана. На поиски женщины была отправлена группа полицейских, но местные жители не хотели отпускать женщину, ведь она была куплена. Отбить ее удалось в прямом смысле с боем.
По решению суда молодого мужа отправили в колонию для несовершеннолетних. Ведь ему только 17 лет.
