В Испании голодный барсук выкопал клад Римской эпохи. Сам воспользовался?
На северо-западе Испании в пещере Ла-Куэста в Берсьо в регионе Астурия стараниями голодного барсука, искавшего еду, «всплыл», точнее, «выкопался» клад из 209 монет Римской эпохи.
Находка названа «исключительной». Барсук додумался копать именно в этом месте во время сильной метели, парализовавшей Испанию в январе. Животные изо всех сил пытались найти ягоды, червей или насекомых, чтобы поесть.
Барсуку не повезло — он нашел лишь горстку несъедобных металлических дисков и, возможно, погиб от голода. Но спустя некоторое время их увидел местный пастух.
Монеты датированы III-V веками нашей эры. Большинство из них происходит из Антиохии, Константинополя и Салоников. Позже они появились в Риме и на юге Франции. Одна из была доставлена из Лондона.
«Количество найденных монет, а также несомненный археологический интерес к переходу к периоду раннего средневековья делают клад, обнаруженный в Берсьо, исключительной находкой», — отмечают археологи.
Монеты были спрятаны в пещере, вероятно, во время нападения свевов. Это германцы, вторгшиеся в северо-западную часть Пиренейского полуострова в V веке.
