В NASA рассказали, почему марсоход Perseverance не смог взять пробу грунта с поверхности Марса
Ученые из Национальное управление по аэронавтике и исследованию космического пространства (NASA) объяснили, почему Марсоходу Perseverance 7 августа не удалось с первого раза собрать образец марсианского грунта.
«Данные, отправленные на Землю марсоходом Perseverance после его первой попытки собрать образец горной породы на Марсе в пробирку, показывают, что во время первого отбора проб не было собрано никаких горных пород», — говорится в релизе NASA.
Система отбора проб работала в заданном режиме, но телеметрия показала, что в пробирку грунт не поступил.
По мнению менеджер проекта Дженнифер Троспер, причиной неудачей может быть назвала неверное предположение о характере реакции горной породы на процесс отбора.
Анализом ситуации с неудачным отбором образцов грунта займется специальная группа. Напомним, 18 февраля марсоход Perseverance совершил посадку в кратере Езеро. Место приземления раньше могло быть озером. С 22 июля марсоход собирает информацию о самых древних слоях кратера.
