В США ученые разработали жвачку, купирующую коронавирус. Что в ней?
Американские вирусологи из Университета Пенсильвании нашли формулу жевательной резинки, защищающей организм от коронавируса со значительным снижением риска заражения.
Специально для исследований ученые вырастили партию модифицированного салата с высоким содержанием фермента ACE2. Благодаря этому ферменту частицы коронавируса задерживаются в слюне, тем самым снижая риск распространения при чихании или кашле. Листья салата и вошли в состав экспериментальной жевательной резинки.
Проведенные испытания показали, что концентрация COVID-19 в слюне тех, кто жевал жвачку, снизилась до 5% по сравнению с первоначальной вирусной нагрузкой.
Резинка может храниться нескольких лет и при этом не терять своих качеств. Вероятно, что скоро инновационный продукт появится на рынке.
Пока чудо-жвачка не пришла на прилавки, остается лечиться гвоздикой. Тем более, что ученые одобряют
