На Чемпионате мира по водным видам спорта, который проходит в Венгрии, американская пловчиха Анита Альварес потеряла сознание сразу же после исполнения своей художественной программы и опустилась на дно бассейна.
Однако фатального исхода помогла избежать тренер девушки Андреа Фуэнтес. Она быстро бросилась спасать свое подопечную. Секундами позже на помощь подоспел и другой пловец-мужчина, пишет The Mirror.
Самое главное, что сделала Фуэнтес — подняла лицо пловичихи над водой, перед тем как вытащить ее из бассейна. Вскоре пострадавшая пришла в сознание — и ее унесли на носилках. Спортсменку осмотрят врачи и решат, будет ли она дальше участвовать в Чемпионате.
«Мне показалось, что прошел целый час [когда Альварес была без сознания в воде]. Я говорила, что все не так, я кричала спасателям, чтобы они спустились в воду, но они не поняли, что я сказала», — поделилась позже тренер Фуэнтес.
