В ВОЗ сказали, что дельтакрон — не штамм, а результат лабораторной ошибки
Эксперт руководитель технической группы Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ) Мария ван Керкхове заявила, что «дельтакрон» — не мутация коронавируса, а результат ошибки в лаборатории.
Она написала в Twitter, что новый штамм COVID-19, который был «зафиксирован» киприотскими медиками, скорее всего, является результатом загрязнения образца или оборудования во время секвенирования генома коронавируса.
Учитывая это, эксперт ВОЗ призывает не использовать термин «дельтакрон», так как он подразумевает мутацию вируса, чего не произошло.
Напомним, ученые кипрского университета Леонтиоса Кострикиса 8 января заявили, что ими выявлен новый вариант коронавируса, якобы гибрид уже известных штаммов «дельта» и «омикрон». Исследователи дали своей «находке» название «дельтакрон».
