Видеохостинг YouTube собирается в 2022 году развивать на своей платформе метавселенную, в первую очередь в играх.
В сообщении главы отдела контроля производства Youtube Нила Мохана говорится, что сегодня приоритет компании – искать пути увеличения в играх взаимодействия.
«Мы хотим, чтобы игры стали более живыми. Это только начало, но нам не терпится увидеть, как мы сможем превратить эти виртуальные миры в реальность для зрителей», — сказал Мохан.
Кроме того, YouTube планирует использовать технологии блокчейн и NFT, чтобы предоставить авторам видео новые способы заработка. В компании считают, что эти технологии позволят авторам «строить более крепкие отношения со своими поклонниками».
«Вместе они смогут сотрудничать в рамках новых проектов и зарабатывать такими способами, которые не были возможны ранее», — считает Нил Мохан.

Совместные прямые трансляции, которые смогут вести сразу несколько пользователей;
Сортировка комментариев с привязкой к определенному моменту времени в видео;
