Эксперты подсчитали, что каждый год в мире 4,5 триллиона окурков летит мимо урны. В Швеции решили, что проще научить ворон собирать «бычки», чем человека — бросать их в урну.
Специалисты компании Corvid Cleaning привлекли к уборке улиц и парков ворон, причем массово. За каждый «сданный» окурок птица получает еду.
Глава компании Кристиан Гюнтер-Ханссен рассказал, что мусор собирают дикие вороны, но делают это «на добровольной основе». Сейчас пилотный проект проходит окончательную «обкатку», чтобы оценить рентабельность.
Сегодня Швеция тратит на уборку улиц от окурков около 20 миллионов шведских крон. Гюнтер-Ханссен считает, что использование диких ворон для сбора «бычков» в обмен на еду снизит затраты на уборку на 75%. Иначе говоря, стоимость уборки одного окурка человеком — 80 эре, вороной — 20 эре.
Согласно исследованию, проведенному в 2014 году, мышление вороны эквивалентно развитию 7-летнего ребенка. И им несложно понять алгоритм поиска выброшенной сигареты, доставки ее к специальной машине и получения еды в качестве награды. А риск того, что по ошибке птицы съедят какой-нибудь мусор, невелик.
