«Здесь живет сипуха». На колокольнях 20 белорусских храмов устроены гнездовия для редкой птицы
В Беларуси в Гродненской и в Брестской областях в рамках проекта «Дом для совы» на колокольнях 9 православных и 11 католических храмов установлены гнездовия для сипухи. Это сова из Красной книги.
Орнитологи поясняют: для установки гнездовий сипухи выбраны именно храмы, потому что эти птицы предпочитают здания, выделяющися на сельском ландшафте. А громкие звуки колоколов сову не смущают.
Заселиться в домики совы смогут уже весной. Проект «Дом для совы» — долгосрочный, и уже оправдал себя в Польше, Чехии и Англии, где численность исчезающих сов возросла.
Раз в 2-3 года орнитологи будут проверять гнездовья, вычищать и ремонтировать.
Как прихожане узнают, что сова поселилась?
Сипуха — птица скрытная. Она ночной охотник и вылетать из гнезда будет вечером. Но она не боится света и покажется в свете фонарей. А весной у нее брачный период и она будет громко петь.
В данный момент достоверно известно об обитании только одной пары сипух в Беларуси.
Сейчас, после того, как 20 домов оборудованы, специалисты будут ждать — заселит ли сова гнездовия.
Дом для совы представляет собой небольшой ящик 80х40х50 см из плит на основе древесной стружки. Внутри установлена перегородка, которая создает любительнице укромных местечек тень и дополнительное ощущение безопасности. Внутри насыпана труха. Есть и дверка сзади — для орнитолога.
