Видео молодой семьи из Канады мгновенно стало вирусным. Семья вышла в море на лодке, чтобы полюбоваться китами. Человеку они не опасны. В отличие от морских котиков.
В какой-то момент в лодку запрыгнул морской котик. И буквально сразу к борту приблизились хвосты и плавники. Котик втащил в лодку всего себя и притаился у мотора, решив рискнуть, ища спасения у людей, чтобы не погибнуть в зубах хищников. Когда косатки поняли, что добыча исчезла и уплыли, котик тоже плюхнулся в воду.
Косатки очень изобретательны при охоте на тюленей. Они могут подныривать под льдины и стучать по ним, чтобы согнать ластоногих в воду. Иногда косатки охотятся небольшими стаями до пяти особей. Чтобы оглушить и схватить добычу, киты-убийцы часто используют свой сильный хвост, ударами которого могут оглушить не только рыбу, но и тюленя.
Этому морскому котику удалось спастись от касатки, но такой случай — исключение.
