Жительнице американского города Цинцинатти в штате Огайо Иззи Мелтцер было грустно. И она отправилась на прогулку в местный зоопарк.
Илзе не подумала, что на ней белая куртка с черными рукавами. Но один из пингвинов, увидев девушку через стекло вольера, стал упорно следовать за ней по линии ее движения.
«Новый лучший друг», — написала она позже в своей публикации. Девушка действительно оценила расположение к ней пингвина, пусть и вызванное черно-белой цветовой гаммы одежды.
Теперь Илзе приходит в гости к новому другу в этой куртке, и служители не делают ей замечание, хотя обычно предупреждают посетителей в одежде, окрашенной в «звериные» цвета о том, что это беспокоит и злит животных. Хищник, дезориентированный, например, леопардовой расцветкой, может побудить к агрессии других зверей.
