В индийском метро поставили картонные фигуры – отпугивать священных обезьян. Те распоясались
В Индии в городе Лакхнау в метро установили огромные картонные фигуры лангуров. Это местный вид обезьян, которых здесь почитают священными животными.
Задача картонных обезьян — отпугивает ватаги настоящих, которые оккупировали линии метро.
«Обезьяны превратились в угрозу. Они доставляют неприятности пассажирам, нападают на них и выхватывают вещи. Мы отпугивали их записью голоса разъяренного лангура. Это помогло, но ненадолго», — говорит сотрудник метрополитена Вивек Мишра.
Так решили установить картонные фигуры. По размеру они больше настоящей обезьяны. Кроме того, лангуры подвижные — работники метро постоянно меняют положение фигур.
Итог налицо — живые лангуры ушли. Пока что.
На платформах дежурят охранники с дубинками, но колотить священных обезьян не решаются. Их сакральное имя — хануманы, по имени обезьяноподобного божества в индуизме. Хануман покровительствует наукам и сельским занятиям.
Лангуры хулиганят не только в метро, но и просто — например, забираются в форточку и воруют еду и вещи.
