Китайские цензоры изменили финал фильма «Бойцовский клуб» Дэвида Финчера. В версии для стримингового сервиса Tencent Video полиция раскрыла все планы Тайлера Дердена, предотвратила взрыв, а сам герой оказался в психиатрической лечебнице.
Проект «Разгром» провалился, пластмассовый мир победил, а китайские зрители не увидели сцену под песню «Where is my mind».
Зрителям, знакомым с оригиналом, такое решение не очень понравилось. Но одобрил Чак Паланик, автор оригинального романа!
Писатель опубликовал восторженный твит, в котором написал, что «все в Китае получили хэппи-энд».
Паланик заявил, что версия китайских цензоров оказалась ближе к финалу книги. Там у анархистов тоже ничего не получается, но причина провала не в мудрости и компетентности полиции, а в том, что бомбы не срабатывают. Герой стреляет себе в голову и просыпается в психиатрической больнице, думая, что попал в рай.
В Китае часто переделывают фильмы, чтобы показать злодеев поверженными, а правоохранительные органы — мудрыми и справедливыми.
