Автомобилист Джордан Нельсона, управляющий новой моделью Tesla, обнаружил, что система самоуправления автомобиля постоянно принимает полнолуние за желтый свет светофора.
Стоило низкой яркой Луне желтого цвета попасть в поле видения системы, как она начинала требовать снижения скорости, — так, это должно происходить с приближением к светофору. Такое происходило и ночью на пустой дороге.
Нельсон разместил неисправность в Твиттере и приложил запись к обращению, адресованному непосредственно Илону Маску.

Сбой управления в момент видеозаписи не подвергал опасности водителя и других участников движения. Автомобиль ехал по шоссе со скоростью 102 километра в час, «игнорируя» Луну и не дожидаясь, когда она загорится красным.
