Искусство британца Джастина Бейтмана, создающего картины из гальки, камней и щебенки, заставляет опешить. Джастин называет свой жанр ленд-артом и ценит его именно за то, что работы живут недолго, их невозможно транспортировать.
Первые работы Джастин создал в Портсмуте на пляже, проводя семинар по искусству. Затем художник уехал на Бали, поселился в доме у реки, откуда доносилась пение лягушек. Сейчас лн живет в Таиланде, совершенствуя и свое искусство, и собственные взгляды на гармонию с окружающей средой.
«Я предпочитаю, чтобы естественная среда оставалась естественной, поэтому я убираю любые признаки своего присутствия, когда выхожу с участка, и разбрасываю камни. Я работаю в лесу, на пляжах и даже на автостоянках! В Бангкоке я использовал железнодорожную ветку, где было много камней. Мне очень нравится каждый этап процесса: нахождение камешков, планирование объекта, определение местоположения окружающей среды, создание искусства, фотографирование результата и реакция моей аудитории», — рассказывает Бейтман о своих недолгоживущих произведениях.
