«Пропаганда началась не вчера» — Сабонис рассказал, почему прекратил общение с россиянами
О вторжении российских войск в Украину высказался президент Литовской федерации баскетбола Арвидас Сабонис.
По словам баскетболиста, он свел к нулю общение с россиянами.
«Я не общаюсь с россиянами. Они все выведены из состояния равновесия. Все привыкли жить хорошо. Когда ты живешь хорошо, то оно хорошо — зачем что-то менять?» , — очертил свою позицию легендарный спортсмен.
Сабонис напомнил о статистике: 70% населения РФ поддерживают войну. Баскетболист не думает, что эта цифра преувеличена.
«Пропаганда началась не вчера. Но с этого моменты мы больше никогда не поверим лжи. Голуби мира! Украина была мирной страной. И где этот мир теперь? В бомбежках детей и обычных людей? У меня нет слов. Поэтому нет ни малейшего желания общаться с россиянами».
Сабонис не понимает, как украинские и российские баскетболисты могут в дальнейшем играть в одних турнирах.
«Клубы из России должны быть исключены из Евролиги — это даже не обсуждается. Когда они вернутся? Не имею понятия. Да и вообще непонятно, как будет развиваться военный конфликт дальше. Славяне убивают славян. Более того, две славянских нации атакуют третью. Брат убивает брата. Налаживание отношений после конца войны может затянуться на 50 лет, но обиды останутся», — сказал Сабонис.
Ранее литовский баскетбольный клуб перформансом поддержал Украину во время матча Евролиги.
