Ученые из Высшей технической школы Цюриха опубликовали результаты исследований причин аномальных плюсовых температур.
Вердикт неутешителен: Земля вступает в самый жаркий период, и нас следует готовиться к пикам жары, которые в разы превзойдут сегодняшние температурные рекорды.
С помощью компьютерного моделирования и отчетов погодных явлений прошлых лет исследователи составили прогноз рекордных волн жары по мере продолжения глобального потепления и опубликовали его в журнале Nature Climate Change, о чем 26 июля сообщил портал Axios.
По мнению специалистов, влияние климатических изменений на аномальные скачки тепла недооценены. Если предполагаемая кривая высоких выбросов парниковых газов не пойдет на спад, экстремальные температуры увеличатся в 2-7 раз в период с 2021 по 2050 годы и в 3-21 раз — в период с 2051 по 2080 годы.
Сейчас скорость потепления Земли — 0,18 °C в 10 лет. Она гораздо интенсивнее, чем в предыдущие 40 лет.
По мнению авторов исследования, аналогичные причины приведут к учащению катастрофических наводнений.
