Из-за электромагнитного воздействия морских кабелей могут исчезнуть коричневые крабы
Морские биологи из Шотландии, опубликовавшие свое исследование, бьют тревогу: морские крабы, оказавшись вблизи силовых кабелей, становятся заложниками магнитного поля, сила которого сопоставима с магнитной силой магнита для холодильника.
Это силы достаточно, чтобы «заворожить » ракообразных. Крабы перестают двигаться и остаются обездвиженными на одном месте.
Лабораторные анализы показали, что электромагнитное поле пагубно влияет на кровяные клетки крабов. Это снижает иммунитет морских обитателей, провоцирует иные негативные последствия, в том числе, катастрофическое снижение популяция коричневых крабов. Они перестают добывать пищу, искать спутника для спаривания и мигрировать.
Выход — военным и строителям следует консультироваться у ученых, проектируя морские кабели и монтируя морские ветряные электростанции. Снижение популяции коричневых крабов может стать существенным ударом по морской фауне.
