Кит-белуха, которого спасли из Сены во Франции, умер
10 августа французские спасатели спустя неделю попыток смогли достать из реки Сена под Парижем, 800-килограммового полярного кита-белуху. Но позже стало известно, что млекопитающее не выжило.
Об этом сообщила зоозащитная организация Sea Shepherd France в Twitter:
«С тяжелым сердцем мы сообщаем, что белуха не пережила перемещение, которое было рискованным, но необходимым, чтобы дать шанс животному, которое в противном случае было бы обречено. После ухудшения его состояния ветеринары приняли решение об эвтаназии».
В организации добавили, что «опустошены этим трагическим исходом, который, как мы знали, был весьма вероятен, но мы благодарим всех, кто работал над этой беспрецедентной мобилизацией: пожарных, опекунов, волонтеров».
Напомним, для спасения кита развернули масштабную спасательную операцию. В ней участвовали 24 водолаза и спасатели с канатами. Они шесть часов пытались заманить белуху в сети, чтобы поднять из воды. В итоге, они все-таки достали четырехметрового 800-килограммового кита краном и поместить на баржу под присмотр ветеринаров.
