Французские спасатели целую неделю пытались помочь выбраться белому полярному киту-белухе, который застрял в реке Сена, в 70 км от Парижа. И наконец-то его достали из воды, сообщило агентство AFP 10 августа.
Для этого развернули масштабную спасательную операцию. В ней участвовали 24 водолаза и спасатели с канатами. Они шесть часов пытались заманить белуху в сети, чтобы поднять из воды. В итоге, они все-таки достали четырехметрового 800-килограммового кита краном и поместить на баржу под присмотр ветеринаров.
Теперь белуха три дня будет жить в специальном бассейне с морской водой на шлюзе в порту Уистрехем. Потом ее вернут в море. Однако, по словам спасателей, это очень опасно, так как кит ослаблен и может умереть из-за стресса.
Млекопитающее обычно обитает в северных морях. Но в начале августа его заметили и в нетипичной для него теплой пресной воде Сены в направлении Парижа. Сейчас он выглядит худым и обессиленным. Вероятно, он не ел несколько недель, если не месяцев. Кроме того, кит отказывался от еды, которую давали ему ветеринары.
