Астрономы пояснили, что цветное изображение представляет собой композицию отдельных экспозиций, полученных с помощью широкоугольной камеры 3 «Хаббла» (WFC 3) и усовершенствованной камеры для съемок (ACS).
Шаровые скопления — это плотные системы очень древних звезд, гравитационно связанных в единую структуру размером около 100-200 световых лет в поперечнике. Это одни из самых известных объектов во Вселенной, которые являются пережитками первых эпох образования галактик.
