Архитектурное бюро Дэвида Аджайе представило проект строительства новой достопримечательности Нью-Йорка. Это Affirmation Tower или Перевернутый небоскреб, которому предстоит стать одной из самых высоких построек Западного полушария.
Небоскреб будет располагаться на Манхэттене и представлять собой блочные секции, уложенные друг на друга. Они создадут ступенчатый профиль, который будет увеличивается в ширину по мере подъема. Высота здание составит 506 метров.
Affirmation Tower станет вторым по высоте небоскребом запада и 11-м в списке самых высоких в мире. Внутри небоскреба планируются коммерческие офисные помещения, две гостиницы, штаб-квартира NAACP, смотровая площадка и каток.

В столице Индии возвели очередную Башню смога. Она собрана из гигантских вентиляторов. Правда, многие экологи говорят, что проблему загазованности индийских мегаполисов увлеченность правительства такими башнями не решит.
